I just installed a Heath Motion Detector light. It had white, black and red. White neutral to detector white, black line to detector black, detector red to load black. Using US and Canadian wiring codes, green or green/yellow is never a current carrier and would be ground. Your unit may not have a neutral in the circuit. This is for 120VAC?

It may just need black to hot, red to light, yellow/green is ground, not needed for operation, it is for safety, if it is grounded, it can't become live, should trip breaker. A bulb would need to be in to work as this appears to have no neutral. LED may not have enough load to work, try incandessant bulb first to test. I have used Motions with LEDs, and would not work due to the load(resistance being so low). So I added a relay across the lights connections to increase the load and it worked, don't use the contacts, just the coil to add resistance. Newer motions will work with most? LEDs.
