    Power supply for lap top
Ok, I am in the US. I have a laptop and the power supply shows on it that it is rated 120 -240 vt imput.

I am soon traveling to Asia where I understand voltage is 220 ( or in that area)
I am being told that all I need is an adapter so my plug fits into their outlet and my charger will work fine and not burn up my computer.

Is this true ? It does seem to read that way on the charger?

That is correct... with that supply you would need only the correct plug adapter.

Wow, I never realized how many power supplies are rated that, almost everything I use on a daily basis, the ones that don't such as camera can charge though my USB on the computer.

Ok, bought three adapters today and one power converter.

Anyone know about what type of plugs and power they use in Canada? I will be doing a short visit there prior to heading to China
