What in the world is this??
I've never run into a webpage like this before (give it a minute to load):
    http://www.space.com/images/google.html

What in the world is it? Why would someone take the time to do all that - and what purpose does it serve?

    ... just curious.

Hehehehe did you click on any of the Google's ?

They lead you directly to images from Google search, just like this one http://www.space.com/images/h_blackhole1_01.jpg

Yeah, I clicked on several of them but curiosity's got this cat: what's the point of a site doing a page like that?

Welll it does save on their bandwidth and it's easier to code than describing what every picture show ;)

    Pretty lazy really

Why do you say the images are from Google search?

The page is probably for search engine optimization.
