    Sending music by email
I want to send a song from my music library on my computer.
I want to send this so that it plays in my email.
    How can I do this.

Hmm. Do you have Yahoo music launch? They have a thing that allows you to email music videos and songs to your friends. You just click on the email this to a friend button on the screen and then a form pops up for you to send it. That's the easiest way that I know. More help should be along though.

If you wanted to embed the music in your email so that it plays when the person receives it then you'll have to send an HTML formatted email with the sound embedded in the hTML message. If the person receiving the mail has their email program set to receive mail in Rich Text or Plain Text then they will not hear the file and see LOTS of garbage code as email.

As Chery, pointed out there is a copyright issue in doing this. It is legal to make copies of material you own for personal use only. Unless this is an original composition you hold the copyright to, you may be breaking the law by distributing a copy.

You might take a look at Music Launch as nymphetamine suggested. They may be sending the material in such a way that a copy is not retained on the recipients PC. Which might keep you within the copyright rules.

    Hi, Stephen,
If you are using Outlook Express for your home computer Email, here are steps to embed your music:
    Open Outlook Express.
Click on the Create Mail icon (start a new email message)
At the top of your new email message window, click on Format, then Background, then Sound.
Click on the Browse button to find the song you want to embed.
    Click on Apply and OK.
I do wish you the best of luck.
