    Efficiency of School Uniforms
My question is what is the efficiency of school uniforms?
It is for a debate and I need the negative side of school uniforms.
What I have is that they do not help the learning process.

No one ever claimed that school uniforms enhanced the learning process. That would be a far stretch of the imagination. Give a child a uniform and suddenly that child becomes a genius. NOT!

What was always presented was the argument that school uniforms leveled the field for children. No one was rich or poor or in the middle, as they all wore the same uniform. It was also a way for school administration and teachers to be assured of proper dress code.

Something that could be construed as a negative affect of school uniforms was if there was an exclusive school that required exclusive uniforms. The students going there, would, of course, come from exclusive families. Snobs for lack of a better word. So the elitist attitude develops.

Perhaps others will provide a different point of view on this.
