    Brown spotting
Hi I'm a newbie. My periods are fairly irregular and was due my last around 23/01/2006. On the 26/01/2006 I had brown spotting very light and no red flow at all which lasted for 9 days! I visited my GP on 7/02/2006 and he told me to get a blood test done the following day to check my hormone levels, thyroid etc. Get results in around 14 dats. My GP does not think I'm pregnant but should I test anyway? Was it a period that I had but was old blood? Help

Why not just pick yourself up one of those throw away home pregnancy tests if you want to make sure. They cost between 6 or 15 dollars. Would not hurt to test. Try it had home. You will know eighter way until you do get your other tests back.

I also think that you should take a test. It will more than likely put your mind at ease.

I have a test at home but I don't have any pregnancy symptoms so am wondering that it would be a waste of a test and might not help my emotions. Maybe it's best that I wait for the results of my blood test.

It is up to you what you would do but the suggestion was there to ease your mind. Even if it is negative it is not a waste of test because it will ease your mind.

You can always buy another one later.
