A poem written by a young girl with terminal cancer.
The following poem was written by a young girl with terminal cancer, she has less than 6 months left to live.

I think this poem should be an inspiration to all of us. Life is short, live each day like it's your last, because you never know when your time is up.

Have you ever watched kids on a Merry go round?

Or listened to the rain slapping on the ground?

Ever followed a butterflys eratic flight?

Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?

You better slow down, don’t dance so fast.

Time is short, the music won’t last.

Do your run through each day on the fly?

When you ask how are you, do you hear the reply?

When the day is done do you lie in your bed?

With the next 100 chores running through your head?

You better slow down, don’t dance so fast.

Time is short, the music won’t last.

Ever told your child, we’ll do it tomorrow?

And in your haste not see his sorrow?

Ever lost touch, let a friendship die?

Cause you never had time to call and say hi.

Better slow down, don’t dance so fast.

Time is short, the music won’t last.

When you run so fast to get somewhere.

You miss half the fun of getting there.

When you worry and hurry through your day.

It’s like an unopened gift, thrown away.

Life is not a race, do take it slower.

Hear the music, before the song is over.

I sent this to you because I thought it was so beautiful, and it's so true! :tears rolling:: every time I read it. I hope everyone else stops to think and takes something away from it! :)

Me too Starby. This poem is an inspiration. Okay, the crying isn't helping my headache. Got to stop crying, time to smell the flowers and smile. No crying. :)
