Ever since I got an Ipod touch and used Facebook on it, for some reason under my notifications it tells me whenever certain people add a photo. It doesn't have to do with doing a bunch of stuff with them on Facebook because half of the time I barely know the person. Does any body know why this would be happening?

Do you have them favorited or under close friends list by accident even? Do the notifications have a star next to them?

Have you also checked your settings?

For that you need to set Facebook notification setting to limit the alerts.
