Jesus Take The Wheel Day - will you be participating?
"Jesus, Take The Wheel" Day | Facebook

    Quote:

On March 31, 2013, Christians all over the world will take to the streets in their automobiles. Relying only on the divine protection of Jesus Christ, they will prove that the Savior of Man will not abandon them when they remove their hands from the steering wheels of their cars for a total of 5 minutes. They will not be at a red light, or a stop sign, they will be on the highways. This is TRUE
FAITH. Jesus Christ does not abandon his children, and with the current state of the world, it's time to show Jesus that we have not abandoned him. Do not come to this page telling us that we are crazy and that we are going to die. Jesus is our Shepherd, and he will tend to his flock. Please join us and show that you are NOT AFRAID to place your life in the hands of Jesus Christ.
    Sounds reasonable enough.

Isn't the world supposed to end on December 21, 2012?

Note the accompanying photo shows a straight road, no other traffic, and a flat grassy field on each side.

On behalf of liability investigators everywhere I support this idea. I won't be participating directly, but I will be participating after the fact.

Considering it's still mostly winter conditions here on that date it should be interesting.

You're right -- same here! Usually sleet and snow-rain mix that time of year.

It's bigoted for a Christian to say Christians are not stupid? In what world?

You really don't read anything before putting your virtual foot in your mouth do you?

Maybe bigot isn't the best word. What do you call it when someone believes that mere membership in a particular group makes everyone in that group better than others?

Surely there are stupid Christians? There are stupid people in any group you can label. People are individuals my friend. It's a wise lesson to learn.

Uh no. I'll leave that part to the pros such as yourself. :) I'll do a work-from-home day. Being geeky web-connected has its privileges.

I'm retired now (and have time on my hands). My qualifications for this would be that I was a State Farm bodily-injury secretary for two years, using a manual typewriter. Also, I don't mind seeing blood.

Anointed? Superior? Chosen? Wait, that's liberals.

Yes oh wise one there are stupid people of all stripes. Unlike the committed (or should be) leftists that wanted to levitate the Denver Mint, this page is obviously a hoax. The only alleged 'Christians' you might find participate come from the Westboro Baptist Church.

Ah, you are one of the smart ones. :) But your faith must be weak to not allow your god to watch over you and keep you safe.

Glad you finally admitted that. :p

God never said to abandon common sense, nor did He abandon the laws of nature... like what happens to a car when the forces of gravity take over after it goes over a cliff.

P.S. It's just a metaphor, and a Carrie Underwood song.
