Write a thesis statement and we will help tweak it. (We know nothing about being a prep chef.) Is it to be a persuasive paper? Descriptive?

I chose it on becoming a prep chef because that is what I would like to do

It needs to have 3 pages minimum single spaced MLA Format size 10 Font Have an introductory paragraph with a thesis statement then having a body then a conclusion from there I need to cite my resources etc..
The three pages can not include the title page or the cites referenced page

It is not necessary to attend culinary school to become a prep chef.

Attending culinary school is a necessary prerequisite to success in being a chef

The goal for a prep chef should become restaurant manager or owner even though that will take her away from he calling as a chef..

Those are three different possibilities for a good thesis statement. Which idea do you want to use?

I am willing to help, but first you must choose one of those three statements for your paper. Once you make a decision and tell us, then we can work together to make it strong. Right now they are weak.

How is this as an Introductory paragraph containing the thesis statement

Nowadays being a “chef” has become very glamorous. It seems that the culinary field has just exploded with opportunities becoming one of the fastest growing industries in the world. You have television networks that are dedicated to cooking food and its preparations. You have so called chefs such as Bobby Flay, Rachel Ray, Paula Deen, and Emeril. Of course, you also have reality shows such as Top Chef, Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations, and Iron Chef. But what they don’t show you is all the challenging, difficult, and strenuous work that actually goes on in the culinary domain. There are many things every individual must learn to be a chef, Is attending culinary school a prerequisite to learn all the skills of the trade or becoming a prep chef.

    Better would be --

Nowadays being a “chef” is a very glamorous career choice. The culinary field has become one of the fastest growing industries in the world and, subsequently, has exploded with opportunities. There are television networks dedicated to preparing and cooking food. There are so-called chefs such as Bobby Flay, Rachel Ray, Paula Deen, and Emeril. Of course, in tune with the times, there are also reality shows such as Top Chef, Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations, and Iron Chef. What isn't shown is all the challenging, difficult, and strenuous work that actually goes on behind the scenes in the culinary domain. Because there are so many things to learn in order to be a good chef--where and how to shop for all types of foods, which flavors work well together, sanitation and safety, presentation--attending culinary school is a prerequisite to becoming a successful chef.
