Itchy skin, then red bump like rash
For a few weeks now, I've been itching extremely bad all over my body. Usually my thighs worst of all. I assumed I was gaining weight and it was just because my skin was stretching(I'm noticing more stretch marks than before).
Now all of the sudden everywhere it itches(worse than before!) As soon as I scratch I have tons of red bumps that are warm to the touch and seem to spread.
The itching is almost unbearable now, and the red spots seem to be everywhere! I have them all over!
I also have been brauising badly for no reason the past few months. My skin also seems to have a tiny bit of a purple tint to it.
I also have what I think was a spider bite on my back. The doctor looked at it and gave me amoxicilin.
Here is a photo to show what the red marks look like. I can't get into my doctor's office for at least a week.
    Thanks in advance,
    Jen

I have had the same symptoms for 3 years now. It took me more than a year to finally see a doctor after I couldn't Stand the itching anymore. After 1 year of thinking It was an environmental problem like my well water, detergent etc. I walked into my doctors office when it flaired up and low and behold he says right away he knows what it is because he had it. He said it was Urticaria(for which he also said there is no cure)but he gave me a Zyrtec and said I should feel better in 5 min or so. Well 5 min later. No more itching rash was gone! To think I suffered for a year with this. Now I take 1 zyrtec a week or so when I feel symptoms coming on. Zyrtec is now sold over the counter. Give it a try and let me know how you made out.

    Good Luck! Dan R.

    Hi Jen,
I have experienced something that sounds exactly the same for several years now (although I don't bruise very easily, I have been surprised by 2 or 3 bruises over the couse o a few years). Just wondering if Dan's response was helpful. I've looked at pictures of Urticaria and it doesn't seem to match what I have (the red bumps I have are smaller and more scattered, but they definitely get worse when I scratch or when I'm in dry weather). Have you had any luck treating yours?
