Hi, I have missed my periods for nearly 16 days. My urine and blood test show negative. I am really confused? I am I pregnant or not? The suspense is killing me. I and my husband have been trying to conceive for the past 1 year and y periods were very regular till date.

If you're blood and urine test shows negative, maybe you're late on your period is because of stress. Stress tends to make period skips. Has there been anything that you're worried about?

Once you are 16 days late, it is rare that a blood test would show a false negative.

Its possible that your ovulation was delayed, causing a delayed period. If nothing changes in two weeks, test again.

*Stress, illness, diet/weight changes, etc. can all cause delayed periods. Sometimes, we just get a crazy cycle on occasion with no real rhyme or reason.
