I use a Nikon D 80 camera. When I attempt to use the "A", "S", or "P" mode my photos appear on the LCD screen with a bluish tint. Using the green (automatic) mode does not produce the tint. What should I try?

Odds are good that in full-automatic mode the camera is always in auto-white balance, and that when you leave the full-auto mode it uses a selected white balance setting. Check your white balance and either change it to auto, or select it appropriate for the type of lighting you are shooting in.
If you shoot in RAW mode, you can also adjust the white balance in your raw converter before you convert to jpeg. When you use a DSLR like the D-80 one of the biggest benefits you get is the ability to shoot in RAW and to do raw conversions yourself instead of letting the camera do it automatically. The more you take control (not shooting in auto, not shooting in RAW) the better you can make the images be.
Good answer.
