Freestanding deck: sufficient support for hot tub?
    Hey there everyone!

I've got to build a 10ft square freestanding deck as close to the ground as possible that will be home for an inflatable hot tub with a filled weight of one ton, although I want to build a deck sufficient to support a normal permanent hot tub in the future.

My current mindset is to use 10" joists 12" on center but I've not been able to decide on the method of support. I was considering 9 concrete saddles sitting on poured concrete tubes. The ground the deck will be sitting on is slightly pitched so while the front of the deck will be sitting as close to the ground as possible, at the rear of the deck it will have 6-8" of space between bottom of joist and ground.

Any thoughts on a better method of support that won't break the bank would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time!
