Unable to put information on aluminum foil for the freezer . Sharpie pen smears . Labels will not stick either. Any tips?

Use freezer bags instead of foil.

Freeer bags. With all air removed, are a better barrier and keep foods safe longer.

I keep used bread bags. Just squeeze all the air out. FREE. And you can loosen the contents slightly in the microwave for 10 seconds, unlike foil.
Foil seems to have taken a leap in price? I can make one roll last for years.
I just found a lump of something frozen in foil. I think it's cooked eggplant, LOL.

Use freezer bags and use them by removing the air inside the bags. It'll help you a lot.

By using Freezer bags, you won't have to peel aluminum off your food.

Foil is not meant for freezing, it's meant for cooking, or covering containers overnight, but not for freezing.

Better to use bags, or better yet, get a vacuum sealer.
