I have a 2004 Dodge Stratus. I recently put the car into the shop (7 days ago) to have the usual maintenance done on the car. I had an oil change, engine tuneup, and I also had to have some ignition wires replaced.

My car silently shut off twice today and the steering wheel even locked up as I was making a left turn into my complex. That is all the information I can give because that is all I have to go on.

I need to know if anyone can help me diagnose the problem so that I can sound mechanically intelligent when I take the car back to the dealership.:confused:

Just what you said would be enough for the mechanics to start looking explain the ignition wires were replaced and the event of what happened can't get much smarter then that
If I had done the work and you reminded me of that then I would start looking around the work that I had done. To me it sounds like it has something to do with that new wiring.
However I have turned in my tools and don't work on vehicles anymore.
