    When did I conceive
My lmp was December 17/2011. My due date is October 14/2012. When did I conceive?

If your LMP was 12/17/2011, your due date SHOULD be September 22, 2012, not October.

Most likely you conceived on December 31, New Years Eve. However, if there is a question of paternity a DNA test will have to be done after the baby is born.

With a due date of 10/14, your LMP should have been around 1/8/2012 making conception 1/22/12

Who said anything about paternity? All I want to know is when I conceived, reason being the dates do not match from my lmp and us due date

No one said anything about paternity, don't be so defensive. Most of the questions we get here ARE about paternity.

No, the dates of your LMP and your due date do not match. Almost a month is a very wide gap. Have you had an ultrasound to date you yet?

The question was asked since normally no one really cares about the date they conceived, only when the baby is due. Since most dates are est there is no real exact conception date, a date can be given but it is really give or take a week to 10 days.

So I am sorry but normally paternity is normally why most people ask that question, in your case it appears that the due date does not seem correct, you may want to discuss this with the doctor

You are a little spitfire aren't you? We are here trying to help you. We can only go by the little information you provided.

As a registered nurse in Labor and Delivery I'm asked this question at least weekly.

I respectfully unsubscribe from this post.

The due date of October 14 was given by my last us. I want to know because I believe I should be 2 more weeks than what I am. I asked my doctor but when I asked she said don't worry about it and changed the subject

Generally dating a pregnancy will be more accurate with an early ultrasound. Periods can be off now and then, and some women will have some bleeding in early pregnancy that they mistaken for a period.

Ultrasound will use measurements of baby, along with what can be seen, to determine a due date. Babies follow a close pattern of development early on. Due dates are not exact, however, and few babies are actually born on their due date. Better to think that you are due around mid-October than on an actual day.

Calculating conception and due dates is an inexact science. There is NO way to pinpoint it exactly. That's probably why your doctor changed the subject because there is no point in discussing it.

If you are concerned raise those concerns with your doctor, she will tell you the same thing. As your pregnancy moves along, the due date can be pinpointed more accurately, but it still may be a couple of days off either way. There are many factors that can affect the gestation period.

On another note here. You came here asking for some help. The people here VOLUNTEER their time and knowledge to help members. It seems to me you should appreciate the offer of help instead of arguing.

But whose arguing? I asked a simple question reason being I wanted to know , like I said if you think my question is pointless, or have something unnecessary to say that doesn't have to do with my question then ignore my question and go bring your so called helpful information to someone else , this isn't " arguing" it's the truth. Just some users have too much time on their hands
