    Pregnancy
I have been having sex with my boyfriend for 2 in half years without no condom, how come I have never gotten pregnant? I don't have nothing wrong with me? Its not genetic through my family?

    Myth
I would go and see the dr. if I were you. Not all problems with fertility run in families. Only a dr. will be able to do the right tests to help you address your situation... By the way welcome to our happy home away from home... lol... let us know what goes on. We hope you stick around, everyone's opinion matters here even when we disagree.

It is all in the timing of it. Stress, frustration, worry could also be a factor. Positions could also be a factor. Man on top. After intercourse, elevating your legs and not getting out of bed right away. Also remember that women are only fertile for 3 days every month. They say that if you have been trying to conceive without any success for more then one year it is time to see a specialist for both you and your boyfriend and get checked out.

Emotional stress, nutrition can alter your cycle. Are you generally on a regular, mostly predictable cycle? If not, these factors might be at play.

Age is also a factor, as it does become more difficult to become pregnant as you get older.

My wife was getting acupuncture for endometriosis and her acupuncturist told her that the treatments would, as a side effect, increase her fertility. I'm not saying it wouldn't have happened anyway, but we ended up with a naughty little boy not long after.

I'm a chemist, trained in the scientific method, so I really cannot listen to the CHI (or Qi) talk about energy flow mumbo jumbo... but I know it helped my wife with painful adhesions and endometriosis, and I think the fertility is tied to increased blood flow to the uterus.

The world health organization recognizes acupuncture as a legitimate means of treatment for many maladies, including the common cold, tonsillitis, sinusitis, bronchitis, asthma, conjunctivitis, toothache, sore throat, back pain, headache. In the field of obstetrics, acupuncture is sometimes used to relieve pain during labor and delivery.

Along with potentially increasing the woman's fertility, it is believed that acupuncture can also increase a man's sperm count... although I have not read a lot about that.

When a couple fails conceive after a year of unprotected sex, its time to do something different, as something like 90% conceive by one year. When there are fertility issues about 40% of the time its related to the woman's body, 40% it's the man, 10% it's the couple, and the remaining 10% is unknown.

So... along with understanding when you ovulate and some of the things that can help, its also probably good to have both of you looked at to see if there are any issues. You want a child. You need to know the reality. Don't be afraid to find out. There are lots of things that can be done to help you both conceive.

And, as I mentioned, you might talk to someone at an acupunture clinic, as well as fertility specialists. They are trained professionals who want what you want... to help you have a baby.
