    Compiler Install with Suse10.2?
I've heard Suse 10.2 is obsolete/non-supported. Does anyone know what version of Fortran/C++ compilers will work with Suse 10.2?

Why not upgrade SUSE to a more current version that is supported?

That is a good idea. I've suggested it. $, I guess.

SUSE is free.. I've used it in the past... With something like RED HAT, its still free.(certain versions of it anyway).. but you pay a fee if you want something with technical support. I think SUSE does something similar as a revenue stream.

There are certain flavors of Linux out three that won't run on certain older hardware but If you have the hardware, don't have the compiler yet, I'd make sure i had the most up to date stable release build (I'd avoid the betas unless thats your thing), then find the compiler. You set yourself up for fewer issues down the road.
