Contrary to several standard websites I consulted about worries during holidays, where money is the main factor of worry, I'd rather UNDERspend than OVERspend.
I know I'm generally very cautious in how I spend my money, save a lot. Every holiday I go with my girlfriend, I'm very concerned about how much I spend, to the extend I can't enjoy my holiday, even though:
- I make a good monthly salary
- I have a stable job (it's 4 years into my first job after graduation, so I guess I'm still stuck to "cheap student spending")
- (as a result) I have plenty of saved cash on my bank account
- we always manage to spend relatively little during our holiday, since a. I work for a luxury resort company where I can get free room stay (villas), b. I live in Asia, where everything is relatively cheaper than Europe)
Any suggestions in how to stop that absolute nonsense money worrying, behaviour? I know I'm pretty cheap and greedy as I'm Dutch, but it starts annoying myself literally lol. My dad is the same.
Thanks.
