Faint Hissing noise while accelerating on my Accord
I recently bought a Cert-Pre-owned 05 Accord with a Vtec and auto-tranny. I hear a faint hissing noise when I accelerate (usually higher rpms). It happens in city conditions when I get up to the 40's or when am getting on the ramp. What could be the source?

. Ensure all vacuum hoses are tight.

. Ensure the intake manifold is not leaking.

. Clean the air box and replace the air filter. Ensure the air intake is securely tightened to the throttle body.

I am inclined to believe that it is the Intake Manifold breathing hard (when the throttle is close to max) and it appears that it is a common occurrence in Honda's. At this point it is a faint noise requiring some keen hearing so I guess I will hold off on doing something about it. Thanks for the input Tx!
