I lied to my boyfriend, how do I tell him and not lose him
OK so when I met my current boyfriend we had great chemisty and set up a date until I asked his age.. 20 I'm sixteen and turned seventeen in a few months so I said I was seventeen... he canclled out date. I was heart broken, we met by accident about 4 months later and now we have been dating for three weeks BUT I still refer to my slef as seventeen and my birthday is in a week and I'm turning seventeen, how do I tell him? I really can't lose him

You need to be honest about your age. You just tell him "I have to tell you something. Remember when I told you my age was __ well I lied but really my age is ___".

Lying about your age is a big deal especially since your boyfriend is an adult.

Honesty is always the best policy.

Did he cancel date because he don't want legal problems in future or other things?

Just admit you lied. If he can understand your little lie then it's meant to be. Just don't ever lie again. If he doesn't, then that means he's not that into you.

Losing him is out of your control. It all depends on how he feels. But you got to do your part. Relationships won't work based on lies. So you'll have to tell him the truth and see how he reacts. I'm sure he'll be angry that you lied in the first place, but if he really likes you he might see passed it if you are sincere and own up to your actions.

So when you told him you were 17 a few months ago he cancelled the date, and as far as he is concerned your 17 now and he is OK with that.
If you tell him now he will probably wonder what else you lied about?
If you say nothing it will probably come out anyway.
Your going to be 17 next week, he's going to be 21 soon,(if it was a couple of months ago he was 20).
Is it fair to keep up the lie?
Tell the truth, and at least you will know that you did the right thing.

Tell him. It's going to come out eventually, so the sooner the better.

Had to spread the rep - but your right... the age thing could be a legal issue. He deserves to know the truth.

You should make him realize that hw important he is for you! And then tell everything you lied and wait. If he really cares you then will back again

I dated a 16 year old.. I told him I was also 16, but I'm 14.. we have been together for almost 3 years now.. today I decided to tell him... I found it hard.. I cried... I regret what I did... He forgave me.. and now we are friends.. we were already friends before I told him so no, he did not break up with me. He said he's glad I told him the truth
