    EXTREME foot issues
My boyfriend has the worst feet. They are dry and crack and bleed. Then they take forever to heal. We have tried everything. Doctor's prescribe an ointment that doesn't work. I scrub his feet and soak with epsom salts, we've used every product on the market. Can someone help us? Nothing we have tried has worked and we are at a loss. He's always in pain with his feet. Most of his socks are now black since the white ones always turn red. It breaks my heart.

Sorry for the super close up. But that's what I see all the time and it makes me sad.

Is he taking vitamin D (4,000-10,000 IUs per day)? Check this page for ideas on how to treat this --

Also, it's by prescription only but I love it for dealing with any dry or chapped skin. It's called Radiaplex, a gel that was prescribed for me to use when I was getting radiation treatments. It is very soothing and keeps skin flexible and soft. Ask your doctor for a prescription or ask the druggist if there is something similar that's OTC.

Have you tried Coconut Foot Cream by Burt's Bees? My mother swears by it.

If its happening for more than a year the you should see skin specialist or MD.
