The ringing should gradually go away once you are over your cold. It is basically a fluid build up in your ears causing the ringing or possibly the cold medication you took while ill.

Go to one of the search engines and search the word "Tinnitus" it will give you some ideas about ringing in your ears.

Could be time to get your ears candelled.

Please see an ear-nose-throat doctor. The bad cold could have "clogged up" your ear canals between your ear and nasal passages. If so, it could be infected. You might need some antibotic ear drops, such as Ciprodex, etc.
