Can anyone help with this. My daughter asked me what language this was? While I am fairly well educated, I really had no idea. Despite a Google image search I have not been able to identify.

Compare it to Thai writing. This is a very small sample, but the characters have that appearance

I have been through Thai and Sanskrit and a few others. It was found on a gate in the New Forest (Hampshire, UK) and I was leaning towards some sort of druid times script. It would be a lot easier to just ask the owner I suppose. But I do love a riddle.

Could be a type of Rune considering the location.
