How can drugs be detected when you don't use them?
My hair test came back as 1.0pg/10mg of marijuana but I don't smoke. How can that be?

Do you take or use any drugs, prescription or otherwise? Why are you being tested?

In these cases of a false positive I recommend people get a consult with an MRO. A Medical Review Officer is a doctor trained to say why something might have given you a false positive. You can find one in your area at aamro.com and look for the link that says "locate and MRO in your area". For the most part hair drug testing is very accurate, but maybe a med you are taking made it show a false positive. BTW, second hand smoke won't show up in a hair drug test.

Also say if you used someone suit case or clothes that has used drugs then they can trace it off that, and second had is worse than first hand. It can last in the suit case for a long time.

What about eating something that may have contained marijuana?

Do you smoke any tobacco products? If so, are you careful about using your own products and not something that may have been tampered with?

Ask for a retest and have your scripts for any medications handy for review. The time to reveal any prescription or over the counter products is before a test. Your doctor should ALWAYS be informed of any pending drug test situations ASAP.
