Contact the local Lions Club. Google the information or the public library reference desk will have a contact name and number to call.

Also your local place of worship (if any) are often good places.

Check also if you do not have your own place, with the local Catholic Church, who operate charity.

If you or a spouse was a veteran, check with places like the VFW, American Legion, AmVets or other groups like that.

Then also assuming you are very low income, talk to your social services worker.

Then of course, talk to some local eye doctors, who may work out a payment plan with you.
