Improving Images to High Res
I've created an image in low resolution that I CANNOT recreate in high resolution. Even running through the same steps with the same program it comes out looking very different. I was wondering if anybody knew of a program that can take a low resolution JPG and convert it to a higher resolution. I know that this can be done as I've seen it with my own to eyes but this was on a piece of sign writing software that is far more powerful and expensive than I need.
Re: Improving Images to High Res
Not to argue, but as you state it, it is not possible.
You can enhance a picture. For example, photo-shop filters can sharpen and otherwise change a picture.
Unfortunately, you can not create information that does not exist.
To boost a low-res picture to a high-res one, you'd have to find the missing information. Because it has been lost, you can't compute it.
BTW, one sees such a magical transformation constantly in the movies!

Actually I found a program that does it. It's called focus magic. It's not brilliant but it does quite a good job. It uses some sort of algorithm to work out where which colours are supposed to be.
