    boy dilemma
I like this boy. At our last school dance he tried to kiss me, but I stopped anything from happening because my dad called. He ignored me for a week, and then talked to me randomly about a sandwich. He used to talk to me all the time, and lately he doesn't even say hi to me in the halls at school. He stares at me and smiles and then looks away, and every now and then I make eye contact and smile to let him know I am still interested but nothing seems to be happening. I try to work up the corage to say hi, but I just get so nervous. & when I do say hi, I giggle and I feel so embarrassed. I honestly don't have any idea what to do.

Go for it! Be confident in yourself! Just take a big deep breath... good luck!!

I wouldn't worry about being anything with this boy other than a friend. Although it seems exciting to have a romantic relationship, just realize some of the things you miss if you're too into a boy right now. Enjoy your youth and the freedom of not being in a relationship. When the timing is right, things will all work out. Perhaps when your dad called is a good sign that "the kiss" wasn't supposed to happen. I have 3 daughters and I know our oldest has had her share of the "spring" dating fever. However, she just got back from a youth convention with our church and on the first night, the pastor said that the teens need to break free of distractions that are interfering with their relationship with God. When she returned home, she asked her boyfriend of a little less than 3 months if they could just be friends now. I was so proud of that very mature decision she made. All the waiting you're doing right now will pay off with big rewards when the time for a real kiss actually comes. Hang in there.

    Try talking with him
He's probably embarrassed and nervous to talk to you too
So yeah just try talking to him
And see if he likes you back
    It sounds like he does
