    What should I do when the Mother of the groom is trying to take over my roll as mother of the bride. What is the Etiquette for both mother of the bride and mother of the groom

    It is the bride and grooms wedding, it is their duty to decide who does what. In most weddings, seldom does the family of groom or family of bride do anything and the roles have changed greatly over time. Often best friends or other family do many things. More likely no one else does anything.

    But the bride and groom tell their parents what role they have or who has other roles. Often one family may not be able to afford some expected duties. The bride and groom need to sit down with everyone and decide what is going to happen

    Talk to your daughter about this and then together find out together why the mother of the groom is doing this.
