    Light flashing
The little light resembling a battery, located below the arrow key, is flashing.
Last week it was on steadily, so I replaced the batteries.
    Today, it is flashing red.

Is this a thermonuclear bomb... a thermostat or a burglar alarm system? It matters a great deal if you want an answer that matters.

It matters because I can't stand to see a light flashing that shouldn't be doing so.If a light on your car dashboard flashes, do you ask that same question?

The light is located below the four arrow buttons to the right of the alpha keys and left of the numeric keys

On what brand and model keyboard? All keyboards don't have those there.

The article Logitech has available on their support site indicates that after changing batteries the battery light should come on to show battery status and then go off to conserve battery power. The site did not mention what a flashing battery is supposed to indicate, however there was some mention of flashing lights in Logitech's support forums. In those cases, the individuals had to contact Logitech support and/or return the keyboard under warranty.

I suggest you confirm the batteries are installed correctly and if the flashing persists contact Logitech support.
