Have you taken it to a dealer to be appraised? What is the serial number?
What is the condition?

Guns for Sale - Online Gun Auction - Buy Guns at GunBroker.com
Its an online auction and they have many listings.
What is the brand? 270 refers to the cartridge not the rifle or maybe both. I have a Mossberg chambered in .270 Winchester. Heavy hitter.
I went to a shop an asked what my new carbine was worth. They asked what I paid which was $395. They told me it appears to be worth $395. Guns are only worth what people pay for them. I'd go with the appraisal
Yes but also said "single bolt action" so not sure exactly what it is. Some of the Rugers are single shot bolt, NEF 's are single shot break action. I have one of those in. 243
Without knowing more we don't really know what it is. If OP can come back and let us know then we could get it closer. I find that gunbroker is pretty good for guessing what it may be worth as they sell pretty close to the going rate. That's not insurance value nor sentimental value (lol) just dollars and sense ;)
Make, model, serial number, condition and history specific to the firearm all effect value. Then again it is worth what someone will pay. With the exception target rifles and some training rifles most bolt action center-fire rifles are repeaters. Moer information and photos would help but an in person appraisal is best
