My exhusband has never execised his visitation rights of our twin girls. We have been divorced for 7 1/2 years. He is in jail now. I have not received child support in 2 years. Is this considered abandament? I live in Georgia.

Is there a child custody agreement ? Do you have a child support order in place ? In GA abandament is normally used as a criminal charge for failure to pay court ordered support
It is used in civil matters for reason changes in visitation orders, and custody matters.
Georgia does allow for custody to be taken away for extended prison time but you will have to file and go back to court
