    Audio distortion
    Hello,
When downloading mp3's I convert to .wav .Then using Nero latest ver. Burn to cd, there is peak distortion even though trk volume is medium. This is getting very annoying as tracks play clean as mp3.

    Please help?

I think the cause of distortion is oringinal .mp3 file, it has distortion by itself. Not cause by converting.

Ps: my English is not good, so u may not understand. :D

    Distortion
    Hi,
I, too, think the distortion comes from the original mp3 file.
I use Nero, 5.5, to burn music, as Audio files; plays well on both car CD's and CD players in home.
The burning gives good music, no distortion, except for midi's, which my version of Nero does not support.
It will, however, but mp3, wav, etc, with no distortion.
Have you tried numerous mp3 files from different sources?
    Best of luck,
    fredg

I often use SoundForge for converting all of formats audio files. SoundForge is so well to process audio. :D

Does the distortion also occur in the .wav files you create?

No, I said that: if the original mp3 files had distortion, the destination files would have it . Whatever formats you convert, the distortion won't lose.
