Do I have to pay support for child in college part time Indiana
Do I have to pay child support for someone that is only going to school part time (IVY TECH 2 classes)?? I would rather stop support and give her money as she needs it rather than give it to her mom??

You can't give it to the child under State Law - the mother, in theory, provides housing, food, utilties and that's what child support is for. It's not for the child to buy whatever she needs.

What does your divorce say about continuing child support? How old is the child?

You can always go to Court and request an amendment of the support order.

Contact a lawyer. You may not have to pay anymore. Depending on the child's age. You could also get a better deal.

We need more info here. How old is the child? What does your support order say about how long support lasts?

She is 18 and going to ivy tech 2 classes first semester. I was not married and didn't even know I had a daughter till she was 12 years old. Not sure what paperwork says I will have to look.
