    How is age determined?
In biblical times, how long is a year? And how long is a day? I was wondering how the bible calculated the age of Moses, the ages seem sort of off to me.

We just cannot be sure what references to "day" or "year", especially in Genesis, are literal.

That's my opinion. There are some, typically "Fundamental" Protestants, who take it all literally.

In Genesis, it say the dark and the light were the first day, so it seems the bible was always using the rotation of the earth and the cycle of the earth around the sun as we do.

Remember according to Christian belief, man was much more pure and since he was designed to live forever, it was sin that has slowly caused man to not live as long.

So a day is a day, and a year is a year.
