This is model number 11048722791. Portable HD quietpak.

The machine will not start at all. The power led comes on when start is pressed as it should but the water fill does not begin, on cold or hot. Tried a new water valve, and nothing. Where should I check next and how can I test the water valve with multimeter? Thank you! For reading.

You are having problems with the water level control. You will need a good digital multimeter to test it. First, drain the water and remove the back to the controls and on the water level control you will see a plastic hose attached. Follow it to the bottom of the tub and check to see if it is attached. It may have come loose and if so that is your problem. If not, then remove it and blow on it while listening for the switch to click. If the switch does not click then replace it, if it does then check it with a meter. You have a common wire coming into it and with no pressure it sends power to the water valves by closing the switch to them. On the meter set to "ohms" it will read about zero (unplug one wire, like the common wire and never have power on when doing any test on "ohms."). When you blow on it the switch will open the contacts to the water valves and close the one to the timer. I bet the problem is that the hose has either come loose or has a hole in it. You can get the clear plastic tubing at almost any hardware store for about $2.00, or you may only need to cut off the ends and re-attach it. These switches rarely go bad, but when they do the diaphragm-controlled switch will not switch the connection or stays open on both contacts. You should be able to do this easy fix with a good meter.

Hey, turned out the lid switch is damaged. The housing broke open triggering the switch possibly from the lid shutting too hard. I was able to zip tie it and remount it. Thanks for all your information and getting going in the right direction. I did check the hose like you said and I heard the switch, as I was opening the rear control panel I noticed the lid switch. Thanks again, sincerely.
