I believe they were out of spokane Washington. Possibly purchased by another company, MTD? They don't look to be an aggressive company anymore. www.outdoordistributors.com
    Try them.
    Thanks

Never received an answer to my question. I will be headed to where the splitter is housed tomorrow - and will do some further investigation on the device and see if I can find out more going over it with a fine tooth comb. I may have a fix for my problem as well - but that will be for this problem. Next time their may not be a fix or band aid approach to the problem!

I have an owner manual for the Duerr Log Splitter Model 240-622-003 it was purchased in 1989 by my father-in-law it still works we now have it. The back of the manual say you can obtain parts from Marrs Brothers Inc, 423 E Jefferson, Dallas, Tx 75203, 214-948-7387. I did find then when I googled them.

Log splitter is now 22 yrs old, still has original Briggs&Stratton 5 horse engine and runs very nicely yet... Has split any log fed to it so far. Hydraulic seals on piston have not leaked at all. Paid $ 785 for it I believe.

I actually worked for Dueer back in the early 90's. In 1991 the company was in trouble and was facing lawsuits for malfuntions on the lawn chippers. By 1993 the company had closed and what remained was blended into another company.
I am pretty sure anything to do with them is long gone. However I do believe Sears sold these units packaged under the Sears name in 1990 and 1991...
