Would someone be able to tell me if the wheels on an 1986 Honda Accord are interchangeable with those of a 1996 Honda Accord. Thank you
You should see if the "alignment" of holes on both rims are the same. For example, if they're both 4x114,5, or 4x100, or 5x114,5, or something like that (both the same) than it's most likely they are interchangeable.
For example, you cannot put a rim from a '90 Civic on a '02
Accord, because one has 4x100 holes, and the other has 5xSOMETHING.
Next, you should see the rim's "offset". It's a number like 35, 40, 42... that's not as much of a problem as a number of holes. If the number of holes do not align, simple answer is - you cannot interchange them without too much trouble. If the offset number is not the same, you can interchange them if the number is not much different... for example, you can interchange them if one is 42 and the other is 40. If they do have different offsets, and you decide to put them on, you should go get a wheel alignment (don't know how you call that process in english), where you go to a garage and they fix up your camber, caster, toe...
Now go to Google and find out the answer.
Do you know the spark plug gap width setting for the 1986 Honda Accord LXi (4 cylinder)? Thank you
No, I don't.
1986 bolt pattern 4 bolt 100mm
1996 bolt pattern 4 bolt 114mm
Thanks for the information. What sizes are for a 1995 Honda LX and are they compatible with the sizes for the 1986 Honda LXi. What I'm wanting to do is to switch the rims from the 1986 to the 1995 and vice versa.
1995 accord is still 4-114 BUT 95 CIVIC is 4-100... so look for civic rims
What is the gap for the spark plugs on a 1996 Honda Accord LX.
Check decal under the hood. Pollution laws require information be posted.
All hondas run 1.1 mm sparkplug gap. That's about .050 in.
The Haynes manual notes that the spark plug gap for Honda Accords, all models from '94 - '97, 4 cyl is .039 - .043 inch.
