Using Clomid on days 3-7 vs 5-9
Hey ladies... yep you guessed it... still not pregnant :(

So this is my last month on Prometrium and Clomid to try and conceive before my OBGYN is sending me off to a fertility specialist :(

So I take Prometrium to induce my period, because otherwise I don't have one on my own. Once I start, my OBGYN instructed me to take Clomid on days 3-7 of my cycle. When I first started all of this, I researched Clomid and found that some doctors suggest women to take it on days 3-7 and some suggest taking it 5-9.

I am on day 2, so I should start my Clomid tomorrow. I won't change what my doctor told me to do... I want everything to be done exactly as was ordered so there is no speculation as to why it's not working. But I was wondering, for those of you who have been on Clomid and successfully became pregnant... on which days were you instructed to take the Clomid?

I read that taking it days 3-7 increases the number of eggs, and taking it 5-9 makes less eggs, but at a better quality. Neither is really helping me right now because it's not that I am ovulating and just not getting pregnant... the bloodwork is showing that even with the Clomid, I am not ovulating at all :(

But I was just curious as to what days women who have taken Clomid and got pregnant.

Also, does anyone have any experience with fertility specialists? And what else may be tried before the expensive procedures such as invitro?

Thanks... hopefully this dose of 150mg of Clomid will make me ovulate and maybe I won't have to see a fertility specialist... that would be great, but I have learned not to get my hopes up :(
