    Countertop
A few months ago someone put a hot cup on my countertop and it left a white ring. I've tried to use different products to get it out, but nothing has worked. It doesn't look too bad, but the countertops are brand new! Any way I can fix it?

    What's the countertop made of?

I'm honestly not too sure. It's nothing too nice. A friend said it might be formica, but I'm not sure. Thanks!

You can try white vinegar and baking soda. However, it the cup were really hot this could be a partial melting rather than a stain.

I used to work in a countertop shop and saw things like this. Usually, if you're talking about a hot object, this is a discoloration of the material and not an actual stain as was mentioned right before my comment. If it's a discoloration then it cannot be removed with simple cleaning techniques. Something like this would need a professional to take care of it.
