    You compute square feet by multiplying width x length, or 17 x 10 = 170 square feet; at .70 per sq ft = $119

    Nope:

    But maybe a little easer: (17*8*2)+(10*8*2)+(17*10)=602 sq ft.

    602 ft*ft*0.70/ft*ft gives answer in $421.40
    sq ft cancel and result is in $

    Although paint charges should be separate.

    Now suppose there was ceiling moulding, floor moulding and a chair rail and 4 wooden windows and 2 painted doors and two skylights. Now what?

    ahamrick - In order to find the square feet of a area, like a room , You multiply the length X the width, A room 17 ft. X 10 ft. = 170 square feet
    17x8 = 136
    17 x 8 = 136
    10 x 8 = 80
    10 x 8 = 80
    _17x 10 = 170
    These equal 602 square feet 602 sq. ft. X .70 = $ 421.40

    To come to this figure is to find the square feet of each room ( OR AREA ) then add them all togreather ,Then multiply the total square feet by the cost per square foot Which you said was ( $.70 per sq. foot, so 602 X >70 = $ 421.40

    Hope this helps you out, If I have helped you with your question , rate my answer below Good luck and GOD BLESS ::: F.B.E.
