We have a nothere girl that's his and we want both of them to have to same last name. But the bad thing is I can't find my older darhters real dad but he's not on her papers being born

Lizabeth, you shouldn't have a problem having him adopt her. Especially since her father is not active in her life and or on the birth certificate. Speak to a lawyer. You may need to put an advertisement in the paper related to the pending adoption, but I don't see a problem. Does the father know about her yet still has nothing to do with her? That is an important factor. It is honorable of him to want to adopt her. Solidifying his love for you and your child and making her his own. What greater love is that in this world?
