2 months and 2 week baby
Hi, I have a 2 and a half months old baby and he has had diarrhea for the past day that is giving him a bad butt rash. He drinks Similac Sensitive and has been fine with that. We started him on rice 2 weeks ago and he has also been fine with as well. Is there anything I can do for him to help his diarrhea to go away faster.

Why did you start him on rice? A baby's tummy can't handle any sort of actual food until at least 4 months of age. At 2 months of age he's not ready for rice. Stop the rice. At this time he should just be on breast milk or formula.

If in doubt, call your pediatrician, I'm sure he'll tell you exactly what I just did.

    Congrats, and good luck.

Please consult your pedia, diarrhea can lead to dehydration which is dangerous especially because he is just a baby. We don't know the trigger for your baby's diarrhea, it can be bacterial, viral of origin. But I do agree that you should not give your baby rice, he is still too young for that.
