    Genuine Christian Faith
    Wonderful testimony of George Mueller.

“When I surrendered myself totally to God, the love of money was gone, the love of a home was gone, the affection of wealth was gone, the Love of worldly things was gone. God has become my everything. I found everything in Him, there is nothing else I wanted. And I stayed with Him, a happy man, a very happy man, seeking to only accomplish the things of God."

And what are those "things of God"?

I would imagine it is his way of saying, "the will of God".

And "the will of God" is what?

The foundation would be to love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself. And it would be understood that we should love and treasure that "will" more than our own or any others.

And if we love God and show love to each other, what will happen?

For someone who is terrified to answer questions, you sure are in a mood to ask them. At any rate, I love answering questions about the Christian faith.

To love God is to prize Him, to treasure His will, and to trust Him above everything else. That process begins only by placing our faith in Jesus. When that happens, then change comes to that person's life.

As to my neighbor, I must be willing to help him/her when the need arises. I must also be willing to tell them the truth about God, His will, coming judgment, and the wonder and necessity of following His Son Jesus. When all of that happens, then I am the hand of Jesus, so to speak, to do good for others.

Would you agree we all fall short?

Strange how most Christians feel this covers the First (love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength) and Greatest Commandment...might be why we all fall short.

yah, whether it be for good or bad. I don't think it is healthy going about it as God giving purpose to one's life

Not real sure what you mean. Also not sure how you know what "most Christians feel" about this issue.

Kinda like WG. If she runs with this then it covers the First Commandment, thinking it's all good.

First Commandment: “Thou shalt have no other gods before me."

    What does this mean?
We should fear, love, and trust in God above all things.

Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself. People seem to run with the Second, thinking it covers the First.

Christain is a person (not a country). Jesus is the message we can't receive the message without receiving the messanger.
