I am wanting to find this movie. I think it was made in the 40's. Black and white movie. It was about a man and women that fell in love on an island. After a long wonderful time together he told her he had to leave for a short time and come back to her. He never returned and sent her a letter by boat to explain he had obligations and he could not return. She waited almost her whole life for him to come back but he never did. She then home and never married because she said she would not settle for a lesser love. He was the love of her life and she never wanted another. When she was like 80 years old she invited all the men that wanted to marry her over and she also invited him. He finally came and did not even recognizer her. It was sad but I really want to see I again. Can anyone help me?
