    Digital vs. Analog signal
    Hello all -

I have a brand new Samsung SyncMaster 940bw monitor with a NVidia GeForce2 MX/MX400 video card. My question is this: how do I get my monitor to run a digital signal? I have my DVI-D cable plugged in but that does not provide any signal. Yet when I plug in my analog 15 pin VGA, I get my signal just fine. I have the latest drivers installed for my NVidia card as well. I have looked at all settings on my display and my card - I am
    Stump-t on this.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks -
    Scott

The Geforce 2 MX is a fairly old video card, and has some problems providing the correct DVI signals.

Here is an nice article that may explain the problem your having.
