What can I do to make my computer connect to the internet using dialup
#1 thing to do: call your internet proviser's tech support line.
Does your computer have a dial up modem. Some may not have any modem, others may only have connections for high speed or wireless
Every retail computer except for custom built jobs has a dialup modem built in. But it may not be configured properly or there is some other issue. With the scant little ifo you gave us, its really impossible to answer. Your best bet is to start with your dial up ISPs tech support.
Steps:
1. Check your modem and modem driver.
2. Check your telephone line.
3. Check your Internet Service Provider Dial Number
(For example BSNL number is 172233)
4. Check your Username and Password.
5. If u did all the above but still having problem watch your error number and mail me.
Do you have your computer connected to the phone line?
The best approach is linear and logical..Quote:

4. try some initialization strings(refer modemhelp.org)
I think it will solve your problem
You might also want to check to see if call waiting is turned off if you're using dialupQuote:
