My wife is diabetic. Her normal glucose level was in the range of
130-140 FBS.
However, PPBS (2 hours after lunch) it increased to 452, but after
4 1/2 hours it has come down to 150. Next morning FBS 119.

Why this abnormal increase at times?

I suggest you take your wife for complete blood work to determine why this great fluctuation in her blood glucose level. You don't say if she is type l or 2, or if this is compromised with other medical issues. All of this makes a difference. Is she compliant with all her meds ? When was she diagnosed as diabetic ?
