    Pregnant or paranoid?
So 4 months ago me and my ex fooled around, he only rubbed his penis on my vagina and fingering etc. So I took 7 home pregnancy test all came out negative. Many women blog about how they were pregnant and the tests say negative. I have getting my period they are a little bit shorter than usual, like 6 days long instead of 7 to 8. Yes I'm keeping track of my period. And I finally got a blood test and it said I wasn't. Should I still be paranoid? I don't want to end up with a stomach 3 months from now? How can I tell I'm defiantly not pregnant. I'm 16.

If it was four months and you never did it again.. have been getting your period and tested negative a month after that event, then you are being paranoid.

But it wasn't unreasonible back then, because that could have resulted in pregnancy.

If you are not still having sex you are paranoid, the lighter period is normally the first one after sex, then no periods, HPT do give false negative during first month but seldom on fourth, the blood test at the doctor would not normally be wrong.

You are just paranoid at this point

We haven't done it again. Should I be paranoid? Should I take another at home test?

SHOULD I TAKE ANOTHER HOME PREGNANCY TEST? AND I'VE GOTTEN A LINE FROM MY BELLY BUTTON DOWN TO MY VAGINA (its dark)? Also I lost 10 pounds my body won't let me loose any more should I worry?

Yes you should worry about your mental health and being paranoid for real.

Stop, you are not pregnant, you may have another illness, but it is not pregnant if everything you told us is true.

But there are so many blogs saying how wrong and not accurate blood and urine tests are... And now I have a dark line from my belly button to vagina? That's not normal. So yes or no about another pregnancy test?

If you think blood and urine tests aren't accurate... just how inaccurate do you think the line on the belly test is or the chicken entrails on the wall by the witch doctor test is?

    Everyone's normal period is different.

I am an RN and I can tell you that you are being paranoid. You are having periods, tests are negative. Stop worrying. Worrying so much can actually make symptoms appear.

I just don't want to end up with a belly 3 months from now... These blogs are making paranoid... Is there anyway to know for 100% not pregnant or pregnant?

The negative blood test is enough to tell you that you are not pregnant.

You know, surfing the web certainly isn't a good idea for you.

You're fine. If it happened four months ago, you'd definitely be showing by this point, and you'd be extremely lucky to hit seven months without anyone noticing. If you took seven home tests on top of a blood test and they all came out negative, you're fine. Especially considering you two didn't even have sex, technically. Though take it from someone who knows, if you're going to be sexually active, be sure to not only use condoms, but birth control as well, never rely solely on one or the other (I was on birth control and my partner and I made the mistake of relying on that alone to prevent unplanned pregnancies), I'm 19 and 6&1/2 months pregnant with my first child, I'll be the first to tell you a 15 dollar box of condoms is a HELL OF A LOT cheaper than a 68 pack of diapers:) It's up to you to prevent pregnancy from happening if you aren't ready for a child, but you do not need to be paranoid anymore. Rest assure, you are not pregnant.

How accurate are blood tests the only thing that makes me sooo paranoid where I can't even enjoy my summer is these blogs about women saying how inaccurate blood and urine test are.
  • Jun 27, 2012, 06:53 PM

Blood is the most accurate (done at Dr. Office). Urine if done exactly as instructed... I.E. first pee of the morning.. its VERY accurate by the fourth week...

Yes, if you did a blood test at the Dr office it is right, period, end of question. If you are 6 or 8 weeks past, then the urine test should be good.

You need to stop reading the blogs, go read about tooth problems or hair problems if you want to worry about something else.

Go back to tour doctor, let him do another blood test a sonogram and change you 500 dollars to tell you that YOUR ARE NOT PREGNANT

It was like 150 for the blood test but I'm going to doing urine test once a month just in case

Did you read the answers you've been given?

Read them again, and read your posts.

If it makes you happy to be paranoid, then go ahead, it won't change facts.

Then do more tests, pay for an ultrasound if you don't believe the labor and delivery nurse on this site that told you you're not pregnant.

I can only recommend one thing. Stop having sex. You can't handle the consequences! Not at all!

Well, since the last immaculate conception was over 2,000 years ago... keep that up and you will be sure its not going to happen. As long as you don't use Bill Clinton's definition of what sex consists of.

No sex, you've had periods since then, negative pregnancy results. Do you know how pregnancy works? It doesn't seem that you do.

Wait a few more months. If you don't give birth, then you know for sure that you're not pregnant. That's really the only option you have left, since you won't listen to facts.

This should be a relief. But to bring things home, point out some facts, you really shouldn't be having sex if you're this paranoid about becoming pregnant.

I don't know what you were expecting to hear. It almost seems like you're mad that you're not pregnant.

Well, sadly it takes some people time and money to accept the facts. For instance, you were told time and time again in this thread that you weren't pregnant, but you wouldn't believe it. I'm not surprised that you didn't believe the tests either.

Be happy that you're not pregnant. It would have cost a lot more than $200.
